Incorporated in 1975, the West End Community Center (WECC) serves the Providence, Rhode Island communities of the West End, Elmwood, and Upper and Lower Southside. Overall, these neighborhoods are the most ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse neighborhoods in the city. WECC has an Early Learning Program for 28 children, a Youth Program for 129 school-age children and provide transportation to and from 15 schools, and a Social Service Department with a Food Pantry.
