Fondly called "Neut" by most Providence residents, this 88 acre park offers the city parkgoer some of the most enjoyable "back-to-nature" experiences. Due to the partnership between the Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Parks Department, the trail system criss-crossing the hill that dates back to the 1930s was restored between 2004 and 2012. With a wooded trail conservation area, a lighted walking path, basketball court, ball fields, skateboard park, waterpark, and play equipment for ages 2-12, Neutaconkanut is an urban sanctuary located in the heart of the West End. Neutaconkanut Recreation Center and its outdoor pool are both located next to the park.
