Federal Hill House strengthens family and community life in Providence through education, opportunities, and support for our neighbors, at every stage of life. FHH offers an Early Learning Center with all day care, before and after school care and summer camp, parent education programs, food pantries in two locations, and senior health and wellness programs. Our Early Learning Center serves as a safe, educational, and imaginative place for your child to grow. Children ages 6 weeks to 5 years progress through toddler, pre-school, and Pre-K classrooms, and graduate ready for Kindergarten. Federal Hill House’s Early Learning Center serves children 6 weeks to 5 years old. There are four classrooms: Infant (6 weeks to 18 months), Toddler (18 months – 3 years), Pre-School (3 – 5 years old) and three playgrounds. We have a 3-star rating from BrightStars and are recognized for our innovative curriculum tailored to meet the needs of young children. FHH accepts private pay and Department of Human Services (DHS) subsidies. The ELC participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) as well to provide meals and nourishment to enrolled children. The hours for the Early Learning Center are Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. ​
FHH offers before and after school care for children age 5-12 with transportation to and from local schools. We also offer parent education workshops, counseling, and playgroups as well as education and engagement workshops and programs for seniors.
