Father Lennon Park

Contains a large field, walking paths, playground and community garden. Located next to the Selim-Rogers Recreation Center and Pool. Completed in 2017, there is now parkour equipment and pump track for bikes. This park was formerly a soccer field, but in 1997 was rededicated for Father John Lennon, a Dominican reverend who grew up in the neighborhood and was an active community leader. Father Lennon taught at nearby Providence College and was involved in many local organizations such as Rhode Island Hospital and the R.I. Department of Labor. He passed away in 2011 (obituary).
