Winter Birding Adventure
*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 01/26/2018
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is well-known for a large winter population of harlequin ducks and the refuge has over 200 species of birds. We’ll spend our morning searching for the myriad of wintering ducks found here, such as eider, harlequin, grebe, goldeneye and more. If we are particularly lucky, we may also spot a snowy owl. After concluding our morning of birding at Sachuest Point, we’ll find our way back through Jamestown and Newport, RI for a stop for lunch.
