Wee the People - At Boston Public Library - Chinatown Branch
Wee The People presents Wee Got Jazz. For children ages 6-10 years old. What is jazz? Where did it come from? Who are its heroes? And what can jazz teach us about Black traditions of freedom and resistance? In this kid-powered, music-filled workshop with Wee the People, we will swing, scat, and get into story time exploring the lives and music of great jazz icons. Get ready to improvise, syncopate, and celebrate the genius of Black folk who birthed America’s music — a sound of innovation and radical disruption. For children ages 5+
