Kick off your holiday season with a Rhode Island tradition!
Artistic Director Herci Marsden and The State Ballet of Rhode Island open their 60th performing season on Dec. 6 & 7 at the beautiful historic Park Theatre in Cranston.
Coppélia – is a witty and enchanting classic story ballet that is considered one of the ballet world’s greatest comedy ballet. Set to the beautiful music of Leo Delibes, you enter the world of the feisty Swanhilda, the pompous Frantz, a mysterious toy maker with life size dancing dolls and a snowy wedding celebration that will be sure to dazzle all. Get your tickets early for SBRI’s cultural treasure, Coppélia, a ballet that will tickle you with laughter and entertain as it has entertained audiences for more than 149 years.

Additional information: People of all ages are touched by a theatre experience. For this reason on Friday, December 6 @ 10am, SBRI offers a Project Ballet in Education Coppélia Performance, “Pay What You Can Event”. If you experience the arts, you will become aware of it and then you will gain an appreciation for it.
