Rube Goldberg Workshop

Have you ever seen a Rube Goldberg machine in action? You probably have, even if you didn’t know what it was. A Rube Goldberg machine is a contraption that uses a chain reaction to carry out a simple task. It performs a very basic job in a complicated way. This workshop will help participants think outside of the box and develop critical thinking skills while having fun doing it!

9:00-9:30 -STEM Center Exploration
9:30 -10:15 -Rube Goldberg Basics, Tips, Mini challenges
10:15 -10:30 Snack (provided by MobileQuest)
10:30 -11:30 Team Challenge 1 hour to design a Rube Goldberg Device to complete the "mystery task"
11:30 -12:00 STEM Center Exploration (green screen, 3d printing and more)
