Plein Air Pastel Workshop

This workshop aligns with our main gallery group exhibition theme, "Plein Air in Clifton Springs," which runs from Saturday, September 12, through Wednesday, October 14, and features artwork by 45 talented plein air artists.
After meeting at Main Street Arts for an overview and guidance from Kerry, participants will walk to an outdoor location in the area and work on creating a pastel painting of an outdoor scene.

All supplies are included with the workshop fee. Kerry will provide all materials including assorted pastel sticks, plein air field easels, archival sanded paper, and cleanup items. Additionally, all students will be given a resource sheet listing supplies, equipment, and websites to continue to their journey in the beautiful medium of soft pastels. The student only needs to show up with a curiosity to learn about this incredibly vibrant medium.
This class is taught supportively and is a judgement-free zone. Exploration is encouraged. Attendees can complete work at their own pace. This is a nice way to spend an afternoon absorbing creative inspiration from Mother Nature.
