On Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, a “Ring of Fire” eclipse will be visible from California to Texas. While Rhode Island is not in the path of totality for the Annular eclipse on October 14, Rhode Islanders will be able to see a partial solar eclipse. Here in RI the Moon will cover 19% of the Sun, giving us just a small piece of the eclipse effect. The solar eclipse will start at 12:15pm and continues until 2:35pm with the peak occurring at 1:26pm. Learn about eclipses with activities and receive a pair of eclipse glasses during this family fun event at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park.
