The i-Ready® Assessment Test is a group-administered achievement test for grades K-8 which measures a student’s knowledge in the subject areas of reading and mathematics. The i-Ready® Assessment Test was released in the 2011-2012 school year and has is combined with i-Ready® Diagnostics which is a platform designed for teachers to evaluate student performance, develop personalized lesson plans and ongoing monitoring for each student.

What is on the i-Ready Assessment Test

The i-Ready Assessment Test is focused on the two main assessment areas reading and mathematics. i-Ready Reading is concentrated on areas addressing phonological awareness, phonics, automatic recognition of high-frequency words, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension. i-Ready Math is concentrated on numbers and operations, algebraic thinking, measurement, data analysis, and geometry.

How to Prepare for the i-Ready Assessment Test

The best way to prepare for the i-Ready Assessment Test is by exposing your child to the exam format and the types of questions they will see on the day of the test. At Mercer Publishing our assessment test is based on the Iowa Assessments Test which has set the standard in assessments tests across the country.
