Open to ages 12+
This week-long workshop is for intermediate to advanced instrumentalists interested in exploring folk music. It provides an introduction to primarily Irish and Old Time styles of dance music covering jigs, reels, polkas, breakdowns and more! Students focus on learning by ear and have the opportunity to explore and grow in stylistic techniques such as left-hand ornamentation, bow pulsing, and accompaniment.
