Camp life and drill were an important part of the day-to-day routine for all soldiers of the Revolution. More time was spent on camp duties and drilling than was spent on the battlefield. Soldiers and militiamen alike would regularly drill and learn the proper handling of arms. Drills would start at the company level, then the different companies would come together to drill as an entire regiment! Join the men and women of Rhode Island’s own Tew’s Company on Sunday, July 28th at Coggeshall Farm in Bristol and be swept up in the sights and sounds of the American Revolution!
