Using imagery, literature and world music, children will explore the basic elements of movement. Students will learn different rhythms, basic loco-motor movements, (marching, galloping, skipping, jumping, etc.) and create their own dances through improvisation. Students will also learn about self space and the space of others, how to compromise, cooperate, and communicate through movement, all while having fun and using their imaginations! No dance experience is necessary.
This class is also available as a drop-in for $14/class – Please call by 10:00 am on Thursday if you are dropping-in, to ensure that we have space for everyone.
