The 2019 festival will begin on the evening of Friday, September 13th with a special outdoor presentation presented by the Pawtucket Film Festival and reopen on Saturday morning (the 14th) at 11am with the start of our arts marketplace, food court and other events. Check out our family fun area with face painting, crafts and more great entertainment for the kids. At 5:30pm the Rhode Island Philharmonic takes the stage for their annual, legendary, Slater Park performance with fireworks to follow at dusk. We’re back again on Sunday with more fantastic family entertainment, truly exceptional art work and area culinary treats. The Slater Park Fall Festival is part of the Pawtucket Arts Festival celebrating its 21st year with arts events throughout the city from September 6th - 15th.
Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, Slater Park is the oldest and largest public park in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The park lies on the banks of the beautiful Ten Mile River and features incredible historic sites such as the 1685 Daggett House as well as an original 1895 Looff Carousel. The park has full recreational facilities, including tennis courts, thirteen picnic sites and a frisbee golf course and scenic bike paths. Slater park is home to the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and even has its very own dog park.
