Along the waterfront, watch these loyal companions retrieve fishing gear, deliver the catch of the day to market, and even assist in daring boat rescues. In town, see how Newfoundlands supported families by hauling firewood and carrying goods to local shops. Throughout the day, hear stories of real-life rescues, legendary fishermen’s tales, and literary tributes to this remarkable breed. Celebrate the history, heroism, and heart of the Newfoundland dog with us! (rain date: November 8)
