The Arnold Mills Parade is a Cumberland Tradition 2025’s celebration will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025. The theme for 2025 is: "Remember When." Fun, food & music Awards for floats Awards for walking horribles The origin of the Arnold Mills Parade is the theme of “Ancients and Horribles.” First seen in the histories prior to the United States Sesquicentennial Celebration of 1926, the Ancients and Horribles were a grass roots phenomena which highlighted the love of the American people of all things “wild and wonderful.” The parade kicks off at 11am at the RI/MA border, on Route 120 (Nate Whipple Highway) in Cumberland, RI. The parade routes extends about 1 mile and ends at the intersection of Nate Whipple Highway and Abbott Run Valley Rd. Need GPS directions? Head for the North Cumberland Fire Station at 50 Arnold Mills Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864.
